AdventHealth Heartbeat App Privacy Policy

 

Your privacy is important to AdventHealth. We are committed to the protection of your privacy. This Policy outlines how your information may be used, disclosed, maintained and protected through your use of the AdventHealth Heartbeat App. The AdventHealth Heartbeat App is a communication tool offered only as a convenience to AdventHealth employees. Use of the AdventHealth Heartbeat App is voluntary.

What Information Will be Collected And How Will It Be Kept Private?

AdventHealth licensed the software for this AdventHealth Heartbeat App from a vendor. Please click on the link below to review the information collected and how it will be kept private by the vendor: Platform Privacy Notice. Please understand that the vendor will not have access to any information you provide to complete an AdventHealth employee required task or employee online service, this vendor only provides the link to make completing the task possible. For example, if you use the AdventHealth Heartbeat App to clock in for work, the vendor will not then have access into the AdventHealth Hub software systems or data.

Please also understand that when you input or upload any photos or comments to the AdventHealth Employee App you are giving AdventHealth permission to further use this information for AdventHealth marketing or employee initiative purposes.

Please do not upload or input any HIPAA protected health information in the AdventHealth Heartbeat App.

What Are The Terms Of Use?

You must be an employee of AdventHealth and 18 years of age or older to use the App. Your dependents may not use the App on your behalf or for their benefit.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all login credentials and other confidential information relating to the use of your AdventHealth account(s) and are fully responsible for all activities that occur using your accounts.

You are responsible for taking all reasonable steps to ensure that no unauthorized person accesses your account. You must promptly notify AdventHealth of any unauthorized use of or access to your accounts.

You may only provide information that you own or have the right to use when you create, transmit, or display health or any other information on the AdventHealth Heartbeat App. You represent and warrant that all information you input or upload to the AdventHealth Heartbeat App is accurate and complete.

How Will AdventHealth Communicate With You Through The App?

AdventHealth may communicate with you by sending notifications to your cell phone with reminders or notice about new content available through the AdventHealth Heartbeat App. If you do not want to receive these notifications, please turn off the notification feature under settings on your cell phone.

AdventHealth may also communicate with you through your AdventHealth.com email address.

Can We Revoke Or Suspend Your Use?

AdventHealth reserves the right at any time to terminate or suspend your access to the AdventHealth Heartbeat App if you engage in activities that we conclude, in our discretion, breach your obligations stated in this AdventHealth Heartbeat App Privacy Policy.

What Are AdventHealth’s Limited Warranties And Disclaimers Of Liability? And What Are Your Indemnification Obligations?

ADVENTHEALTH DOES NOT MAKE ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR ENDORSEMENTS WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF TITLE OR NONINFRINGEMENT, OR THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE) REGARDING INFORMATION, CONTENT OR ITEMS APPEARING ON THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP. ADVENTHEALTH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT DOWNLOADS FROM THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP WILL BE FREE OF ANY VIRUS, WORM, TROJAN HORSE, OR OTHER DATA ALTERING OR CONTAMINATING COMPONENTS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT YOU HAVE IMPLEMENTED PROCEDURES TO PREVENT SUCH CONTAMINATING COMPONENTS FROM INFECTING YOUR COMPUTER OR DEVICE AND ITS DATA.

WHILE ADVENTHEALTH TRIES TO KEEP THE INFORMATION ON THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP BOTH ACCURATE AND UP-TO-DATE, ADVENTHEALTH DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CORRECTNESS, USEFULNESS, OR APPLICABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION, OR OTHER DATA OR ITEMS APPEARING ON THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP.

ADVENTHEALTH DOES NOT GUARANTEE CONTINUOUS OR UNINTERRUPTED ACCESS TO THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP, AND OPERATION OF THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP MAY BE INTERFERED WITH BY FACTORS BEYOND ADVENTHEALTH’S CONTROL.

YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS ADVENTHEALTH , AS WELL AS ITSOFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, INFORMATION PROVIDERS AND SUPPLIERS FROM AND AGAINST ALL LOSSES, EXPENSES, DAMAGES AND COSTS, INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEY'S FEES, RESULTING FROM YOUR VIOLATION OF THIS ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP POLICY OR THE USE OF THE ADVENTHEALTH HEARTBEAT APP.

What Is The Governing Law?

You expressly agree that the substantive laws of the State of Florida will apply in connection with any such dispute including any claim involving AdventHealth or its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, telecommunication providers, and content providers. The FAA will govern any arbitration.

How Can You Update, Correct Or Delete Personal Data?

You may amend, update or delete the information about you (or your dependents) that you put in the App through use of the App features available within the App. The registration profile is maintained by AdventHealth and can only be amended, updated or deleted by us. Will The Policy Ever Change?

AdventHealth may modify or change this Policy at any time. Such modifications or changes become effective immediately when they are posted to the AdventHealth Heartbeat App. You agree to review this Policy frequently so that you will be familiar with the terms. You further agree that each time you use the AdventHealth Heartbeat App that you are, by such use, consenting to the terms of this Policy that are applicable at your time of use.
